Mandatory Training
 

As an employee of a State of Wisconsin employer, you are required to complete the following training listed below as a condition of your employment. 

EMPLOYEES

  • The University of Wisconsin System has mandated that all employees complete web-based training on sexual misconduct prevention. This course fulfills federal expectations concerning the institution’s Title IX obligation. In this course, you will learn about your role in preventing sexual assault, harassment and discrimination. This training is required upon employment and must be completed within 30 days of start date. This course must be repeated every 3 years.

  • The University of Wisconsin System has mandated that all employees complete a web-based training covering Information Security Awareness. While technology continues to improve our efficiency and effectiveness at work and in our personal lives, it also introduce new risks and threats to the medium and high-risk data that we access daily. Data Privacy & Security training will provide employees with awareness of the risks and best practices to protect the University’s systems and data. This training is required upon employment and must be completed within 30 days of start date. This course must be repeated annually.

  • The University of Wisconsin System has mandated that all departments and/or organizations that accept payment cards as a form of payment comply with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) and complete annual training about those standards. In this course, you will learn about your role in preventing loss or disclosure of cardholder data. For employees in departments or organizations that accept payment cards as a form of payment, training is required upon employment (within 30 days of start date) and must be repeated annually.
  • If you are employed in a department/organization that accepts payment cards as a form of payment (except student employees), you will receive an email with a direct link to the course.   • Student employees with appointments in a department/organization that accepts payment cards as a form of payment, should be directed to the following link(s) where they can complete the training and read the related policy. The policy link has the completion acknowledgment at the end. After reading the policy, student employees should print out the completion acknowledgment, sign & email to Shawn Montgomery (montgoms@uwp.edu).

  • In 2011, Governor Walker signed Executive Order #54, which requires that all University of Wisconsin System employees report incidents of child abuse and neglect. This training furthers our commitment to maintain the safety and health of University of Wisconsin-Parkside employees, students, guests and visitors. This on-line training will increase employee awareness and understanding of child abuse and neglect as well as reporting responsibilities. This training is required upon employment and must be completed within 30 days of start date. This course must be repeated every three (3) years.

  • Supervisor 101
  • Worker’s Compensation for Supervisors
    • This training is recommended for all who supervisor employees in high risk jobs, including Facilities, Residence Life, Theatre, Police, Mail Services, etc. This training familiarize you with the roles, rules and responsibilities of stakeholders in the worker’s compensation process. Watch for announcements in the Human Resources Newsletter and via email for dates this training is offered.
