The Athletics Department at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside invites applicants for an Assistant Coach. This position is a full-time, entry-level, 12 month appointment.

Responsibilities

The Assistant Coach, under the direction of the Head Coach, will be involved in all elements included conducting and intercollegiate track and field program. This entry level position will be responsible for teaching fundamental skills, techniques and strategies; recruiting; monitoring student –athlete academic progress; community engagement and fundraising. Under the direction of the Head Coach, this position will be focused on recruiting and coaching the sprints, short relays, hurdles and jumps.

This position requires the ability to travel and work extended hours on nights and weekends during the cross country and track seasons.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum two years’ experience as a competitive collegiate track & field athlete or graduate assistant coach of relevant areas

  • Strong communication, leadership and computer skills

  • Valid driver license
