The University of Wisconsin-Parkside currently has a Dean Assistant vacancy in the College of Social Sciences and Professional Studies.

Job Duties: This position provides administrative support to the Dean and the Associate Dean, including managing their schedules and electronic calendars; screening calls, visitors, and requests for appointments; acting as liaison between the Dean's office and other support staff; researching and assisting in preparation of college data, administrative documents, etc.; assisting with the development, monitoring, and management of the college's budget; making recommendations for office and equipment purchases; scheduling conference rooms; maintaining the filing system; reviewing the academic calendar for pertinent deadlines; establishing and maintaining confidential personnel files; communicating with chairs, directors, and department associates with regard to status of deadlines; providing information to students, faculty, and visitors to the appropriate offices or areas; coordinating travel arrangements; maintaining records/data pertaining to adjunct teaching, current/historical course enrollments, course grade distributions, and student evaluations of courses; setting up social media accounts and maintaining daily activity on channels such as Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, YouTube. Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail and database applications; ability to learn, interpret and properly apply policies and procedural guidelines, ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple work assignments and projects; ability to work independently and with diverse groups of people; ability to keep and maintain accurate and detailed records; and effective oral, written and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to set up social media accounts on channels such as Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, and YouTube.

Salary: Pay will be based on the rules that apply to compensation upon transfer, reinstatement or voluntary demotion transactions. Pay will not be less than the minimum of the 02-12 pay range, $16.668/hour. A six month permissive probation period may be required.
