On April 7, the University of Wisconsin-Parkside hosted its fourth annual Parkside Day, a day of giving and activities in support of the university, with presenting sponsor HARIBO of America. Parkside Day results truly demonstrate the collective impact of the UW-Parkside community. When we add our actions and gifts together, we create a powerful result that has a lasting effect as students receive life-changing scholarships and opportunities.” We are proud of you for rising to the challenge and grateful for the ways you showed your Ranger pride. Parkside Profile: Andy Berg - Growing for the Community
Sometimes when it looks like things aren’t going to work out, they do. Take Andy Berg for example. As a second-semester freshman at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, he was faced with an assignment that he just didn’t have time to complete – or so he thought.

As we celebrate HARIBO of America as the Parkside Day presenting sponsor, we also celebrate Toni Hansen as a UW-Parkside Distinguished Alum.
Parkside Profile: Harpreet Rooprai '21
Through his undergraduate career and now as a MBA student, Harpreet is involved across campus, making the most of every opportunity presented to UW-Parkside students. His experiences recently also earned him an internship with Snap-on Incorporated in Kenosha.
Parkside Profile: Johnson Family Runs, Studies at Parkside
The 2021 Ranger Run created a lot of excitement throughout the community, especially on social media as participants were encouraged to post photos and share their experiences throughout the race. Nearly 200 participants took part, including the Johnson family.

**73 Throwback Thursday Photos unlocked $365 for the Future Focus Fund.
Share a Throwback Thursday Parkside photo using #ParksideDay. For every photo shared between March 24-April 7, the UW-Parkside Foundation Board will donate $5 to the Future Focus Fund.
Giving Back Gives Back
**CHALLENGE UNLOCKED: $2,000 to Future Focus Fund
If 200 or more volunteers participate in Ranger Volunteers Give Back (volunteering through Parkside-organized events or on their own), the UW-Parkside Foundation Board will donate $2,000 to the Future Focus Fund.
Ranger Runners Bonus
**CONGRATULATIONS to the Women’s Volleyball team for rising to the challenge
The program or team with the most Ranger Run participants will receive $1,000 for their team from the UW-Parkside Foundation Board.

HARIBO Power Hour
**CHALLENGE UNLOCKED: $2,285 to Future Focus Fund
8-9 am (CST)
Welcome to Parkside Day morning! Presenting Sponsor HARIBO of America will match gifts to the Future Focus Fund between 8am-9am. The Future Focus Fund reduces student loan debt and helps UW-Parkside students reach their goal of graduating with a college degree.
Theatre Power Hour
**CHALLENGE UNLOCKED: $3,000 to the Theatre Production Fund
10-11 am (CST)
Parkside Day gets dramatic from 10-11 am, when gifts to the theatre production fund will be matched.
Power Up, Alumni!
**CHALLENGE UNLOCKED: $3,000 to scholarships
12-1 pm (CST)
Calling all alumni to make an impact on student success through scholarships. During this power hour, the UW-Parkside Foundation Board will match the first $3,000 of Alumni gifts to the scholarship of their choice. (Limit $1,000 match per alum – let’s spread the love!)
Virtual Ranger Reunion Challenge
**CHALLENGE UNLOCKED: $2,620 matched for the Future Focus Fund
5-6 pm (CST)
HARIBO of America visited Rangers at the Ranger Reunion and announced a match for the Future Focus Fund over the course of the event.
Parkside Athletics Power Hour Sponsored By HARIBO
**CONGRATULATIONS to Women’s Volleyball for unlocking a grand prize of $1,000!
7-8 pm (CST)
We see you, HARIBO Court in the De Simone Arena! In recognition of HARIBO of America's partnership with Parkside Athletics, HARIBO will provide bonus funds for the Athletics teams that meet their donor goals. The team with the most donors will also receive a $1,000 bonus. Team challenges close at 7:59pm CST. Help your favorite team cross the finish line to victory.

The UW-Parkside Alumni Association will match gifts to the UW-Parkside Alumni Association Scholarship up to $1,000.

Check out these supporter-created challenges and “sock it” to them. All Parkside Day gifts of $30 or more receive our custom UW-Parkside socks, and some challenges offer other special bonuses. Groovy!
