These are the approved university names and are trademarks held by the UW System Board of Regents and registered with the state of Wisconsin intended for use by the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. All outside agencies must receive permission from University Marketing before using.
The full name of the institution, University of Wisconsin-Parkside should be used in first reference. “The” is not part of the name. After first reference, UW-Parkside or Parkside may be used.
The phrase: University of Wisconsin-Parkside, has a hyphen (with no space preceding or following) between “Wisconsin” and “Parkside.” In the phrase: UW-Parkside, “UW” is always written in uppercase letters with no periods and no spaces, followed by a hyphen (with no space preceding or following) between the letter “W” and the word “Parkside.”
When communicating with students and their families, Parkside is the preferred second use of the name. UW-Parkside should be reserved for more formal communications.
When using the term UWP, the letters are always written in uppercase with no hyphen.
